All sorting stations and waste treatment centres take dry powder extinguishers. Do not put extinguishers in together with other waste. Many vendors accept outmoded extinguishers in connection with a new purchase. Extinguisher shops also refill devices.

Extinguishers are emptied, after which they are recycled as metal. Recycled metal is used to manifacture new metal products.
